About Marian Rose's practice I qualified as a traditional acupuncturist after completing a four year BSc (Hons) degree at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading (affiliated to Kingston University).
In my practice I use an integrated style of acupuncture which is a combination of Five Element acupuncture (focussing on treating the underlying constitution of the individual) and TCM (which offers a profound, holistic understanding of disease processes).
Being a member of the British Acupuncture Council means that I have completed extensive training to a high standard in acupuncture and also studied Western medicine. I adhere to the Council's stringent Codes of Practice and Professional Conduct, which includes using single use, disposable needles.
I am actively involved with my professional organisation, the British Acupuncture Council, in promoting the benefits of traditional acupuncture to the public via the press.
As well as practising in Queens Park I have recently undertaken some voluntary work with the charity World Medicine treating women and children in a home in Karnataka, Southern India. Treatment here is mainly centred on gynaecological, emotional, respiratory and musculo-skeletal disorders.
In addition to helping with physical ailments, the aspect of my practice which inspires me the most and never ceases to amaze me, is the way that acupuncture treatment can help people (who are maybe stuck in some part of their lives) to see clearly and move forwards in the right direction for them.
